The well-known German car rental broker CarDelMar has officially ceased operations. In a message on its website, the company states that “The time has come to say goodbye...”, marking the end of an era for the brand that served travelers for over 15 years.

CarDelMar became part of the Expedia Group in the summer of 2014, when Expedia acquired its parent company, the Auto Escape Group, from the private equity firm Montefiore Investment and the management team of Auto Escape. At the time, the acquisition was part of Expedia's broader strategy to consolidate its travel services and expand its footprint in the car rental sector.

In its farewell message, CarDelMar expresses its regret over shutting down the website, thanking its loyal customers for their trust and support over the years. “It has been a pleasure serving you for the past fifteen years,” the company wrote.
